Finish the trapezoid sketch and extrude it (the distance doesn’t matter you just need to extrude it for the next step).Īfter the body is extruded, click on the top or bottom face of your body that is the trapezoid shape. At this point, you should have the trapezoid shape. Then, connect the parallel lines together. The parallel distance between the lines should be the length of your part. When you sketch the splines, they should be parallel to each other. Not sure if you know this, but you can right click the spline and get the exact measurement. To sketch this, you need the length of your part and the measurements of the front and back-end splines. You should not have two curved lines/ splines at the end. ![]() This is why your meshmixer shape is incorrect. This is going to be counterintuitive, but the shape you need is a trapezoid. The part I was making was laser cut flat and then formed into the curved shape with a heat gun. I had a very similar situation for a part I was creating. ![]()
